He did accomplish a few of his pieces with pastel on paper. Victor Vasarelys didn't find his own style until 1947, when he discovered that the use of geometric abstract shapes could create optical illusions. Victor Vasarelys style was soon adopted by other artists. His work is featured in many places around the world.
