Miss Gene Marshall in Right In Step Extremely RARE

Miss Marshall (right out of her brand new box) was professionally styled with her blonde hair in an elaborate updo with a braid throughout, and a flower accent with curly tendrils of hair framing her face. Her brand new ensemble was professionally cleaned and pressed for her, right out of its brand new box. Miss Marshall wears a beautiful, frothy evening gown, circa 1948, that was a costume she wore in her film, "She'd Rather Dance". The dress is a modified A-line in navy blue charmuse with off the shoulder tulle and beaded sequin adornment with spaghetti straps that criss cross in the back. The back of the gown dips into a slight train. A frill of blue tulle over pale pink adorned with sapphire sequins and beads accents the neckline and the hem of the skirt. The slight train is enhanced with 3 pink millinery roses. An additional pink rose is also worn in her hair. She also wears pink rhinestone earrings, long pale pink Opera gloves, a matching beaded bracelet, a pale pink tulle petticoat, nude hosiery, and navy blue slip on shoes with pink adornment. Designed by Hollywood costumer Lynne Day.This ensemble is a rare find, and Miss Marshall looks exquisite with her hair done to perfectly suit her dress! Her blonde hair provides the perfect contrast for this dark navy blue dress.
In the film "She'd Rather Dance, " Miss Gene Marshall shows her vast range as an actress (playing a role outside her comfort zone) as well as a singer and a dancer. After styling and photographs, she was immediately replaced into her original packaging. This doll was wearing the ensemble "Sparkling Seduction" prior to professional styling, and the serial number on the doll matches the serial number on the dress.This ensemble is included in this lot. Both story cards and both certificates of authenticity are included in this lot. If you want the original packaging for the "Right in Step" ensemble, including its shipper, that is available upon request.
