Vintage 1968 Mattel Dancerina Doll Extremely Rare Made In The USA! 33 1/3 rpm record not included. Worlds First Authentic Ballet Action Doll!
Mattel's Dancerina premiered in 1968 and stands 24 inches. She wears a hot pink tutu with hot pink tights and molded pink plastic ballet slippers.
The original 24 inch doll has blonde hair and blue, painted eyes. She is battery operated and wears a pink plastic crown.
When the center of the crown is pushed or pulled, she dances, pirouettes, "bourrees" toe dances forward and back. Dancerina came with her own record, but the record is hard to find today.
Her box has graphics of the doll with a little girl operating it. Pull up on the crown and the doll bourrees. Push down on the crown and she pirouettes.
She performs both actions in both directions and when restarted she changes the direction of the action. Box has some damage and wear see photos.
