The vase has a very organic flower form appearance. This vase is a wonderful cabinet size as it stands 3 3/16" tall and is 3" in diameter at its widest point. The top lip has a diameter of 2 5/8" and the bottom has a diameter that is 2". The vase has a beautiful Blue Favrile Iridescent with gold overtone exterior finish on the glass. The vase displays a floriform or flower form shape.It resembles a Poppy Flower. It has vertical ribbing with oval indents in the center of the vase. It is finished off with a ruffled top border that resembles the petals of a flower.
There are 8 of these indents that surround the center portion of the vase. What is so rare and wonderful is when you put light over the vase and light it up. This is what make this vase a reactive vase. This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings to any of the glass.The vase is signed on the bottom corner that reads L. You can date when this vase was made by the prefix letter K. The pieces of art glass blown by Tiffany's Studios that carry that suffix letter K were made circa 1899 and considered early in their Favrile line of art glass vases.
Those of you who collect Tiffany Favrile vases and want a nice example of Reactive glass in excellent condition look no further. This vase will enhance any art glass collection.No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
