Extremely RARE Thomas Russell & Co New Old Stock BLUE 12 Enamel Dial Gold Watch

This is a remarkable Gents 9ct hallmark Gold wrist watch made in England for Thomas Russell & Co of Liverpool. A company made famous for its import of American and Swiss watches in this early 20th century, this watch actually has a highly finished 15 jewel movement which is finish in the Zenith manor of the 1920's pale frosted gilding and rich red large jewels! It has had a new plexi original was yellow!

Apart from this the watch is in "NEW OLD STOCK" condition with it original enamel dial in perfect shape. Dial with the marking of "ThosRussellsSon"! Even the Breguet moon hands are original and mint. The watch is also special because it has a "BLUE 12" on the dial not red or black as is more commonly found on watches from this period.

The hallmark I think is from 1927 but if could be on the next run from the 40-50's, it's hard to tell exactly and my book doesn't cover this one. The watch is 50mm cushion case, which takes a 16mm open-end strap. Overall this is a very RARE watch in this condition and even more unusual with a stunning perfect dial which has a BLUE TWELVE o'clock! I think this watch would be a great addition to any collector!! A new band was put on at the same time.

This watch has never been wore by anyone and has been in storage for two decades. A quick test confirm the watch is still running well right before I list this watch. This is a vintage watch, please keep in mind that almost no mechanical vintage watch keeps accurate time like quartz. You will be the one to make that decision! I don't have the skill and/or the tool to open the watch to show the movement inside!
