Extremely rare historic Davenport H&H New Orleans Tuscan Rose Transferware 1820

Hill & Henderson, later Henderson & Gaines was only in business for a short period of time. Hill & Henderson from about 1825 to 1834. After the death of Hill, the firm changed its name to Henderson & Gaines in 1836 and operated until 1866. Hill & Henderson was in business at 14 Canal Street. The firm operated as a direct importer, receiving hundreds of crates of English earthenware on ships from Boston, New York, and Liverpool. Both Hill & Henderson and Henderson & Gaines were agents for the Davenport Pottery in Staffordshire, England. Although Davenport earthenware is not rare and a handful of Henderson & Gaines imported pieces might also have survived to the day. But a piece from the early. Hill & Henderson time is extremely hard to come across. This beautiful Tuscan Rose pearl transferware plate might be the only one on sale on the whole internet!

The plate is about 10 across, and is in great condition given its age (200-year old)! Minimal crazing and one small chip on the rim (please refer to the pictures).
