Here for your consideration is a beautiful and extremely rare, Royal Doulton, stoneware, model of "La Victoire" A Crowing Cockerel by the artist John Broad, circa 1900. Posed standing on a square base with canted corners, one side of the. Base is faintly incised with the title "La Victoire". This delightful, ceramic sculpture, captures the humour of the farmyard. Please look at all 12 photos to fully appreciate this exquisite figurine!

This figure has even been depicted and created with realistic ripples to enhance movement and shape, that's the extent of the detail in this truly magical figurine. The detailing and workmanship in this figurine is superb, really strong vibrant colouring, absolutely exquisite. I really don't believe my photos are doing this figurine true justice. The colours and the way they've been mixed is just truly magnificent. The base does not bare a Royal Doulton mark but is incised with the initials of John Broad along with two other decorators (ML and JH).

Condition: no chips, cracks, scratches, or damage. Just a very nice, and extremely rare Royal Doulton figurine. Provenance: The venders grandfather worked at Royal Doulton. As you can see from photo six.. This figurine is listed in Royal Doulton, Animals, Charlton Standard Catalogue, on page 2..
