EXTREMELY RARE 1880's NORTH BAY NEW YORK 1 GALLON STONEWARE JUG W BLUE DESIGN. One gallon stoneware jug stamped "North Bay". Exhibits a significant crack commencing in the center of the decoration, extending downwards and veering to the left before terminating at a chip a couple of inches above the base. At the chip, the crack is intersected by a couple of minor hairline cracks. Other hairline cracks are evident at the bottom of the decoration and base of the jug.

The handle is missing altogether and three chips exist in the base. What appears to be a couple of vertical cracks at the base on the right side of the jug are actually manufacturing flaws that occurred in the kiln. 11" H x 7" Diameter.
