EXTREMELY RARE 1800s BLUE MOCHA MINIATURE PITCHER & BOWL MOCHAWARE YELLOW WARE
Miniature pitcher and bowl sets are extremely rare and are highly desired by serious collectors. Both of these pieces are nicely molded, the pitcher has an over-sized applied handle and a broad prominent spout, the bowl has a rounded raised foot and a flared rim. Both the pitcher and bowl are decorated with an attractive blue mocha seaweed continuous flowing decoration on a wide white band. The bowl has an additional single thin white band around the edge of the rim.
Inside the bowl is a light blue mocha pattern just below the rim that transferred from another bowl in firing. The pitcher measures 2 ¾ in height to the top of the spout and the bowl is 3 ¾ wide by 1 ¾ in height. Near mint condition with only minor glaze wear on some of the edges that doesnt detract.
